As part of an asset deal, Robert Bürkle GmbH (Freudenstadt) acquired the technical and sales-oriented expertise as well as market and service capacities from the insolvent SMB-DAVID finishing lines GmbH (Geretsried) in October.
In the more than 40 years of its existence, SMD-DAVID has been a recognised and competent market player. “With this strategically motivated acquisition, we are expanding our process chain to become a full-range supplier,” states Olaf Rohrbeck, Chairman of the Management Board of Bürkle.
The established Bürkle solutions for XPS and EPS processing are ideally completed by the traditional know-how of SMB-DAVID, which covers expanded and extruded polystyrene, polyurethane, polyethylene and PET foams, glass and rock wool as well as sandwich panels of a wide range of covering and core materials.
The takeover of SMD-DAVID’s service capacities secures the market continued reliable and experienced partners for technical service, spare parts supply and maintenance of the SMB machines and installations in operation.
